Kingsley Abbot

Kingsley Abbott is Director of Global Accountability and International Justice at the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) where he leads its global programme combatting impunity for serious human rights violations.  Before joining the ICJ, he worked for the United Nations as Senior Legal Officer at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia and Trial Counsel in the Office of the Prosecutor at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in The Hague. He also practiced as a criminal barrister in New Zealand, appearing in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal on numerous matters for both the defence and prosecution.
