Nuremberg Forum Day 2, 16 October 2021
The International Nuremberg Principles Academy (Nuremberg Academy) is delighted to partner with the Memorium Nuremberg Trials, and present a side event, which will take place on the second day of the Nuremberg Forum 2021, at 10 am CEST.
The Memorium Nuremberg Trials is an information and documentation centre located on the top floor of the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, just above Courtroom 600, the historic site of the Nuremberg trials.
Courtroom 600 is where the major war criminals trial took place, before the International Military Tribunal, from 20 November 1946 to 1 October 1946. Moreover, from 1946 to 1949, the courtroom witnessed the additional 12 ‘subsequent trials’ before the U.S. American military tribunals. The presentation will take the Nuremberg Forum 2021 audience through the courtroom history, describe changes to the courtroom over the years, and explain their significance while highlighting developments in perceiving the relevance of Courtroom 600. The Memorium experts will touch upon its significance from varied perspectives, including its importance to the international community and the City of Nuremberg.
The presentation will be led by the Director of the Memorium Nuremberg Trials, PD Dr. Imanuel Baumann, and Research Associate of the City of Nuremberg, Mr. Axel Fischer.
Do not miss this opportunity to experience and learn more about Courtroom 600.
